Measuring for fit
Collars: measure the neck where the collar naturally sits, then add two fingers' width.
Harnesses and coats: measure the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. For coats, also measure the back from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.
Beds: measure nose to tail while they sleep stretched out, and add 15–20 cm.
Crates and kennels: your dog should be able to stand, turn around and lie down comfortably. Measure nose to base of tail and add about 10 cm for length, and floor to top of the head (or ears, if they stand up) and add about 10 cm for height.
